Place the chrysanthemums first, loosely spiraling the stems as you build, letting a couple of blooms droop slightly over the rim for a relaxed, just-picked feel. Weave the linium sprays through the gaps between flower heads rather than clustering them together, their airy, wispy burgundy spikes should peek out and add movement/height contrast against the dense blooms.

Let one or two linium stems arc outward past the vase’s silhouette, asymmetry is a more natural and less arranged look.
