The style of this arrangement is more compact and low - a table-centrepiece silhouette rather than a tall mantel piece design.

Use a squat, textured stoneware or ceramic vessel (matte, earthy glaze) rather than glass as it’s a it more rustic look and grounds the loose, garden-gathered look. Keep the overall height low and wide, roughly 1.5x the vase height, since this is a table piece meant to be seen across a table setting. Bend stems so they create a fluid look to replicate real blooms and foliage.
